How To Decorate A Banquet Room On A Budget

Blog

If you're looking for the perfect event space for your next special event, consider booking a banquet room in your favorite restaurant. With the right decor touches, you can transform the venue into the ideal setting for everything from casual celebrations to fancy soirees.

When it comes to picking the best banquet room for your special occasion, consider whether you're having a small, intimate party for just close friends or a large bash. You'll need a venue that can comfortably hold all of your guests, so size does matter. Another determining factor is the type of cuisine the restaurants serves and if they offer a full or pre-fixed event menu at a discounted rate.

Restaurant banquet rooms are appropriate for any type of special occasion or event, including birthday parties, graduation and anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions, bridal and baby showers, and family and corporate holiday get-togethers.

No matter what your party-planning budget is, you'll have no problem personalizing the banquet room to reflect a specific event theme. Restaurant banquet rooms are typically neutral-colored and have minimal decor, so think of them as a blank canvas on which to design your dream event.

The following are some tips for decorating restaurant banquet rooms on a budget.

1. Reuse Decor Items

One of the easiest things you can do to save money is reuse or recycle decor items that you already have, such as vases and candles. You can either bring the items from home or purchase new ones that you can reuse later as house decor.

As one idea, fill vases with either faux or seasonal flowers, which will most likely be cheaper than real, exotic blooms, and use them as table centerpieces. Go for an eclectic look by using vases in different colors and shapes, which will also make it easier to work with what you already own.

Place LED-lit candles down the centers of the tables to add both visual interest and plenty of ambiance. Again, use decor that you already have or ones that will complement your home. You may be able to save money by purchasing the candles in bulk.

2. Table and Chair Covers

Another simple way to personalize the banquet room is by bringing in your own tablecloths or runners, and cloth chair covers. You can either rent the linens from an event rental company or use ones that you already have.

Pick linens that match the overall theme of the occasion, such as turquoise and sand brown for a beach-inspired bash. For a graduation party, use the school's colors, and for a baby shower, use gender-specific hues as a customized touch.

Enjoying New Restaurants

As soon as I started traveling a lot for work, I realized that I was going to be eating out--a lot. Instead of just visiting the same old fast-food restaurants that I had grown up with, I decided that it would be great to explore exciting new restaurants. I started small, by going to little places that had earned high ratings, and then I worked my way up to some of the more fancy establishments in the area. It was really great to see what I was able to find, and I was super pleased to explore so many new kinds of foods. Check out this blog for tips on enjoying new restaurants.
