Ultimate Tips For Ordering Catered Barbecue Food For A Party

Blog

Barbecue is perhaps the perfect party food. Almost everyone loves the flavor of sweet, smoky barbecue sauce, and the traditional sides appeal to a large crowd, too. Ordering barbecue is pretty simple, but there are a few tips you will want to follow for the ultimate party experience.

1. Order another meat in addition to pork.

Pork is a classic barbecue choice, from pulled pork to pork belly, to spare ribs. However, not everyone eats pork. Some people avoid it for religious reasons, and others simply don't like pork. Unless you know for a fact that everyone coming to your party likes pork, make sure you order another meat in addition to pork. Brisket is a great choice; it's so moist and flavorful when done right. Barbecue chicken is also a good choice and will appeal to the "healthy" crowd that wants to eat less fatty meat.

2. Choose some vegan sides.

If you know someone attending your party is vegan, then you may want to order a small portion of vegan barbecue tofu or whatever other vegan option the catering service offers. Otherwise, you can get away with just making sure some of the sides are vegan. A green salad, a pasta salad (without cheese), and seasoned corn (without butter) are some good options. This way, if someone who follows a vegan diet shows up, they will at least have something they can eat.

3. Have plates and silverware delivered.

Most catering companies give you the option of having plates and silverware delivered, but they'll also give you the option of providing your own. Just let the barbecue company bring these items. You won't pay much more than you'd pay at the store, and you know the dishes will be sturdy enough to hold heavy barbecue food. It's one less thing to worry about.

4. Order more, not less.

When deciding how much to order, always opt on the side of more, not less. Barbecue food is generally good leftover since it is bathed in sauce. You can heat it up in a toaster oven, and it will be just as delicious the next day. On the contrary, you don't want to end up short on food with people wishing they could have seconds.

Ordering from a bbq catering service is a great option for parties of all types. If you follow the tips above, you and all your guests should have a delicious experience.

Enjoying New Restaurants

As soon as I started traveling a lot for work, I realized that I was going to be eating out--a lot. Instead of just visiting the same old fast-food restaurants that I had grown up with, I decided that it would be great to explore exciting new restaurants. I started small, by going to little places that had earned high ratings, and then I worked my way up to some of the more fancy establishments in the area. It was really great to see what I was able to find, and I was super pleased to explore so many new kinds of foods. Check out this blog for tips on enjoying new restaurants.
